KISS: Study of Khabarovsk Krai (Region)

August 25-26. Excursions to Khabarovsk Archeological Museum and Grodecov Historical Museum were arrange to help KISS students learn more about history, native inhabitants, flora and fauna of the Russian Far East.

At the Historical Museum students watched the exposition dedicated to ancient tribes of the region: weaponry, tools, clothes, etc. But the most interesting exhibits are stuffed animals and birds: tigers, bears, moose, deer, hogs and many others.

Archeological museum gave students an opportunity to create souvenirs of birch bark during the workshop “The magic birch bark”. Then they visited recreated shaman’s dwelling and tried themselves as archers and fire makers.
